PU – PIR Sandwich Panel Production Line

Pu-Pir Sandwich Panel Production Line Stacking Section

Sandwich panels offer high-performance insulation solutions in the construction and insulation industries. The Stacking Unit, which constitutes the final stage of the production line, plays a critical role in ensuring that the finished products are stored and transported safely.

The stacking section is where PU and PIR sandwich panels are collected in a systematic and secure manner after completing the production process. This section ensures that the panels are stacked without damage, deformation, or dimensional inaccuracies. The stacking operation prepares the panels for logistical operations and ensures space-efficient storage.

Stacking Unit Operations

The processes carried out in the stacking section are largely automated using modern machinery and systems. For example:

  • Panels arriving from the cooling section are transported to the stacking unit via conveyor belts or automatic handling systems. This transport is performed carefully to avoid any surface damage to the panels.

  • In modern production lines, panels are stacked by automated stacking machines.

  • These machines stack panels in predefined quantities and ensure precise alignment.

  • By placing each panel evenly and in balance, the system minimizes errors during the stacking process.

To prevent panels from damaging each other during stacking, protective sheets or interlayers are used. These layers are essential for long-term storage or transportation.

Once stacked, panels are wrapped with materials such as plastic stretch film or shrink film. This packaging step protects the panels from moisture, dust, and other external factors, while also preventing displacement during stacking.

Finally, the packaged panels are labeled with barcodes or QR codes, which store essential information such as production details, batch numbers, and other relevant data. This traceability system enables tracking of the panels throughout every stage, from production to delivery.
