PU – PIR Sandwich Panel Production Line

Pu-Pir Sandwich Panel Production Line Cooling Section

The Cooling Section of the PU-PIR Sandwich Panel Production Line is widely used in the construction and insulation industries. During the production of these panels, cooling plays a critical role in stabilizing the panel structure and improving the quality of the final product. It is one of the most important stages in the production of PU-PIR sandwich panels.

During the manufacturing process, heat is generated as a result of the chemical reaction between polyurethane (PU) and polyisocyanurate (PIR) foam inside the panels. This heat becomes trapped within the panel structure and must be carefully and gradually removed to allow the panel to cure and stabilize properly. If not cooled correctly, the high temperature may cause deformation or lead to quality issues.

Advantages of the PU-PIR Sandwich Panel Production Line Cooling Section

The technologies used in the Cooling Section directly affect both the panel quality and the overall efficiency of the production process. Therefore, as the panel exits the production line, its temperature begins to be reduced in a controlled manner through several steps.

One of these steps is pre-cooling, where air-cooled systems gradually lower the panel’s surface temperature.

This method is especially advantageous for thick panels, as it ensures that the core areas are also adequately cooled.

After the cooling process, the panel temperature is measured, and quality control is performed. At this stage, it is verified that the panels have cooled evenly and reached the desired hardness level.
